Visit an On-Campus Career Expo

Each semester, we host a Career Expo. Employers will come to campus to recruit for positions and talk to students about their industry and the skills and qualities they seek in employees.  Don’t miss the opportunity to build your network and learn from those who are doing the work!

Free Online Resources

There are so many free resources online, it can be overwhelming! Here are a few of our favorites:

mynextmove.org gives you solid data on salaries, educational requirements, and projections. It even allows you to look at careers based on your specific area of the state (like Winter Haven)!

My Career Shines is a comprehensive computerized career information system that combines multimedia, graphics, and search strategies to provide users with thousands of choices for careers, colleges, and universities, and scholarships.

Occupational Outlook Handbook provides information on career options, including, working conditions, training and advancement, earnings and benefits, and employment outlook.

O*Net provides a detailed description of career options that can be searched by job titles or industry, and also can be explored by searching based on your skills, interests, and values.
